OOM: Chloe's room in Milliways

Giggling softly to herself, Chloe pushes open the door to her room. It doesn't look like much: a bed against one wall and a desk with a borrowed laptop against another. There are stacks of old issues of the Daily Planet which she also got from Bar, and the one article that's actually hanging on the wall above her bed is her first byline in the Planet.

Aside from that, there aren't many posessions. After all, Chloe didn't expect to wind up back here again so soon. But then again, she did accumulate some stuff from her previous time at Milliways. Like that photo of her and Riley next to the laptop on the desk. Or the mechanical pencil that Wes broke when she finally had to swap it back fro the blastsword.

But it's colorful, with bright purple walls and a red comforter on the bed.

"Well, um, it isn't much," Chloe finally says, stepping inside. "But it's not like it's home either. Just the place I crash whenever I stay at Milliways overnight."

She pokes at his arm, rolling her eyes at him as she shakes her head. "You are way too happy about that."

"No such thing," he says, almost before she's finished speaking.

"You are such a guy," Chloe answers, laughing at him.

Riley strikes a VERY MANLY pose.

While lying down, tangled in the sheets.

Uhh.

Somehow.

"Why, yes, I am," he says, in a ridiculous deep voice.

That pose is almost enough to make Chloe want to get out of bed and grab her camera. Because, while it may look sexy standing up, tangled in the sheets, it does not.

But lying down next to him is way too comfortable to bother, and her hands cover her mouth as she giggles at him, squirming in hysterics.

She is in a very, very good modo this morning.

"What?

"--Shut up, it was manly, not funny. So not funny." Riley pouts.



For about two seconds. Then he's grinning broadly and prodding her in the side a little, just to see how much more he can make her squirm.

She keeps giggling at him, because it's so much more fun than answering seriously. But when he prouds her in the side, she reflexively jerks as she laughs and squirms at the touch.

Chloe never liked being ticklish much.

"Mmm, stop," laugh, "'at," more laughter, "Riley!"

"Aww, do I have to?" Despite the whine, he complies and settles in with one elbow planted on either side of her. He leans over her, hair a hopeless mess and a silly grin on his face, and he just watches her laugh for a moment--she's so beautiful--before he kisses her.

"Yea-umph." The response is never finished as Riley's lips go down on hers and she automatically wraps her hands in his hair.

This is great - he's great. She doesn't know what she's done to deserve someone like Riley, but she's so happy that she did. Because kissing Riley is always the best. Not that she's had a lot of experience to speak of: Clark, Adam, Jimmy...

But Riley's the best. Riley's handsome and sweet and so caring and perfect.

Well, that would be nice if it were true.

But it can't be, Riley would assure her if he knew what she was thinking, because Chloe is the best. She's beautiful and funny and so awesome and perfect.

But neither of them is a mindreader, and life goes on in absolutely blissful ignorance.
